VISA INFORMATION

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS BY COUNTRY

Pursuant to Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP dated March 7, 2025 of the Government of Vietnam regarding visa exemptions for citizens of certain countries, together with bilateral agreements between Vietnam and ASEAN member states, we respectfully inform delegates of the current entry requirements and visa policies as follows:

I. VISA-EXEMPT COUNTRIES

Delegates holding passports from the following countries are exempt from visa requirements for entry into Vietnam, provided their stay does not exceed the permitted duration:

  • Japan (JSUM): Visa exemption for up to 45 daysy
  • Republic of Korea (KSUM): Visa exemption for up to 45 days
  • Singapore (MUSS):Visa exemption for up to 30 days
  • Malaysia (MSUM): Visa exemption for up to 30 days
  • Indonesia (ISUM): Visa exemption for up to 30 days
  • Thailand (MUST): Visa exemption for up to 30 days
  • Mongolia (MSDU): Visa exemption for up to 30 days
  • Philippines (PSUCMI):Visa exemption for up to 21 days

📌 Note:Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of entry into Vietnam. Delegates intending to stay longer than the permitted duration or planning multiple entries within a short period are advised to apply for an E-visa to ensure compliance.

II. COUNTRIES REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR AN ELECTRONIC VISA (E-VISA)

Delegates from the following countries are required to apply for an Electronic Visa (E-visa) prior to entry:

  • India (IFUMB)
  • Nepal (USN)
  • Pakistan (USP)
  • Oman (OSUM)
  • China (CMA/CSUM)
  • Hong Kong (HKSUM)
  • Taiwan  (CTSUM)
  • Pacific Island countries (PISUM)
  • Iraq

📌 Note:Delegates who require a visa are responsible for completing their own visa application procedures and covering all related fees.

 III. TESTING, QUARANTINE, AND HEALTH DECLARATION REQUIREMENTS

At present, travelers entering Vietnam are not required to undergo COVID-19 testing, quarantine, or submit health declarations.

IV. ELECTRONIC VISA (E-VISA)

The Electronic Visa (E-visa) is issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department through an online system.

Vietnam currently grants E-visas to citizens of all nationalities, valid for up to 90 days, for either single-entry or multiple-entry purposes.

E-visa Fees:

  • Single-entry visa: 25 USD
  • Multiple-entry visa: 50 USD

Payment must be made online in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnam Immigration Department.

 Eligibility for E-visa Issuance:

Foreign nationals may be considered for an E-visa if they meet all of the following conditions:

  • The applicant is outside the territory of Vietnam at the time of application.
  • The applicant holds a valid passport that meets entry validity requirements (generally at least six months validity).
  • The applicant is not subject to entry restrictions under Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit, and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.
  • The applicant must provide complete, accurate, and truthful information in the online application form at the official portal (evisa.gov.vn).

📌Important

Applications containing incomplete, inaccurate, or unverifiable information will not be accepted.
